Page Turner Posted November 22, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2015 ...don't worry. It's gonna be a while before they can reduce all that rotational weight in those tyres.
RJM Posted December 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 7, 2015 That thing looks awesome. I wonder how it is to jump and do drop offs with it?
Indy Posted December 7, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 7, 2015 At that price, not much will happen. Bike prices are completely out of check when they cost as much as I what I can get something with a motor for. Even the most complicated bike, is still a very simple machine. Honestly, these prices are really starting to turn me off to cycling.
ChrisL Posted December 7, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 7, 2015 It will make shuttle runs a thing of the past. Just use the Turbo technology to get yourself back up the trail with minimal effort. That is an expensive bike but for the technology involved seems reasonable.
RJM Posted December 8, 2015 Share #6 Posted December 8, 2015 Well, I do agree...bike prices are way too high. When a bike shop starts offering financing like a car dealership to purchase a bicycle...you know they are ridiculously priced.

There seems no end of it and to think it used to be a cheap way of getting around. I feel a bit guilty as mine weren't exactly cheap, and it doesn't help knowing that I don't ride them very often. RJM Posted December 11, 2015 Share #8 Posted December 11, 2015 My bikes aren't cheap either...but I'm a victim of savy marketing.
Reverend_Maynard Posted December 11, 2015 Share #9 Posted December 11, 2015 Voice your opinion with your local MTBing org that you do not want them to include any sort of motorized biking in their advocacy efforts, and should in fact lobby against them when necessary. Once you put a motor on it, it's a moto and should be treated as such.

Of course I have to suffer the humiliation of owning a 16 speed road bike with an aluminium frame and a steel fork with Shimano Sora drivetrain.
