smudge ★ Posted February 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2016 Is there a way to jump to the first unread post in a thread? I can't find it if there is. Help! If there isn't one, that would be cool. If it's an expensive add-on, I can do without it.
Square Wheels Posted February 3, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 3, 2016 Easy. See those circles or stars next to the topic? If it's dark (top two) there are unread posts, click the circle or star and you go to the first unread post.
smudge ★ Posted February 3, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted February 3, 2016 Oh. I thought the star just meant I had contributed to that post. ??

A bold star means you contributed and there are new posts. Clicking a bold star will bring you to the first unread post. A faded star means you contributed. A faded star is not clickable since there are not any new posts. I highly recommend using the Activity Streams at the top of the forum. I believe the default one is Unread Content. You can create your own streams, or select one of the prebuilt ones and set that as your default. http://squarewheelscycling.com/index.php?/discover/unread/

I didn't like it at first either. I actually hated it and considered moving to different software. Then they made some improvements. It can look really busy. See the image below. There is an option to minimize the amount of info displayed. Click the image to the right to toggle. Having a couple of lines displayed is really pretty nice.
