Gump Posted December 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 23, 2013 Trying to think of a special gift to give my son when he graduates Basic training. I though maybe a nice watch with something engraved on the back as one idea. He usually doesn't wear a watch but he might for special occasions. Other than that I'm clueless...any ideas? JerrySTL ★ Posted December 23, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 23, 2013 H&B? The watch sounds like a good idea even if he doesn't wear it.
kingtermite Posted December 23, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 23, 2013 Sure. I think you can get H&B engraved (it's called a tattoo).
KrAzY Posted December 23, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 23, 2013 A watch is a great idea, and I'm sure you can find a watch face that matches the basic training that he went through
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted December 24, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 24, 2013 Has he written any letters or emails home during basic training? And have you and Mrs. zack written/emailed in return? I'd suggest suggest gathering them all or as many as you can into a book or album, but leave the first and last pages blank. Then on the first page place a picture of him when he left for or entered basic. And on the last page put a picture of him graduating. You could also digitize the whole thing and save it on photobucket (or similar) so no matter where he is in the world if he has internet access he could go back and look at it again.
