Square Wheels Posted December 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2013 Are you an organ donor? (RG, not that organ.) I am. I want to be cremated so I don't figure I have much use for them. I hope when I go some of my stuff will help someone else.

Road Runner Posted December 31, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2013 I am, although according to KT, I am older than dirt, so they might be useless to a young person. I admire live donors who donate kidneys. It has always bothered me that I would be very cautious about giving one up even though you can get along fine with just one. I have a nagging remembrance of my mother who had a kidney fail on her in her 60's. Had she previously donated the other one, she would have been screwed. Sounds selfish, I know, but it would worry me if I am ever confronted with that decision.

One of the benefits of donating a kidney is that if a donor's remaining kidney should fail or get damaged (accidents and gunshots most common) then that donor goes to the top of the waiting list. kingtermite Posted January 1, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 1, 2014 Gina already started with a kidney. My wife has he same scar as she had to have a kidney removed 15 or so years ago. Yes, I'm an organ donor. They took my brain years ago.
