Wing Command Chief said he was cleaning out his office (he's retiring this month) and he found some stuff I was supposed to have been presented with when I retired. I wasn't very cooperative during my retirement, as I preferred to just say 'See ya' and disappear into the sunset. And as they were undergoing deployments and/or inspections they didn't have much choice but to adjust their priorities and let me slide. So I go out to the base and this is what the Wing Command Chief had for me, the Eagle. Really nice. I put it next to the Chief's bust from the pinning that I had also tried to wriggle out of since I was deployed when I was promoted but they caught up with me several months after I got back.
