Longjohn ★ Posted June 27, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 27, 2016 I had a great week of riding last week. I wish I had taken more pictures of us riding but I was too busy riding to take pictures. I have a lot of photos of rest stops and places we camped because that was when I had time to take pictures. Here was opening night, they had bands playing and there were brew pubs happening so we never really got everyone together in one spot. There were 1,700 of us on the ride. Old #7 invited me to stop down and have a few beers with him before the event, GOBA was practically in his back yard this year. It was really good to meet one of my invisible friends and we had a good time on Friday night before the ride. He took me to Jungle Jim's, an amazing store in his area. This is a picture of one of the aisles of cheese, they had so much stuff it was unbelievable. Old#7 was a great cook and host, he made homemade pizza and it was very good. The camping all week was very in tents. We rode through some quiet towns. The rest stops were well prepared for us. Some people carried all their own gear just to show they were hard core. A good mix of young people and old people on the ride. Look at the piles of luggage and gear that hasn't been picked up yet in the parking lot. Those riders are still on the road.

Longjohn ★ Posted June 27, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2016 We had our share of rain I waited out the rain in a bicycle museum and ate homemade ice cream Dancing in the street Unclaimed luggage? I wonder what happened to those riders? The shower truck driver found a way to stay cool in the truck
Longjohn ★ Posted June 27, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted June 27, 2016 We had a storm on Thursday night and the fire department came in and asked us to move to a shelter. Hard rain and heavy winds blew over the porta potties. I titled this picture Porta Pottie Pandamonium
az_cyclist Posted July 1, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 1, 2016 Great pics and looks like it was a fun, if wet and stormy, ride, Longjohn!
