Ralphie ★ Posted August 11, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 11, 2016 I like the decade ones, especially the 50s on 5, and also Soul Town, and a few others. A very smart strategy of theirs to put it in rental cars. Very nice when traveling rapidly across FM zones. I was also a tad surprised that very heavy rains did not befuddle the reception. TrentonMakes Posted August 11, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2016 We have XM in my wife's car. If I'm driving that car, the channel I usually go to first is actually 1st Wave (33?) I hear some great stuff on there. Otherwise I flip between 60s, 80s, The Loft, and one or two of the alternative rock stations (whose names escape me). I can't believe the hold 50s music has over me. Yes, 1st Wave also. It was SO nice when music went from Disco to that.
tybeegb Posted August 11, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 11, 2016 The 60's channel with Phlash. Sometimes the 70's. I'm not too thrilled with the reception in this area as anything remotely resembling an obstruction, like trees, usually causes a pause. It's annoying but I still like it. maddmaxx ★ Posted August 11, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 11, 2016 I have AM, FM1 and FM2. I don't seem to have a position for XM, serious or otherwise. I do have a thumb drive with everything from The Association to WASP however. (162 full albums)
Kirby Posted August 11, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 11, 2016 I split between wanting "talk" and music. My presets include Stars, Laugh USA, 70's and 80's, The Blend, one of the country channels and some others I don't recall at the moment. ETA: Just remembered one is set on a channel that mainly does "pop up" stations. During the summer they've had "road trip radio" and another "summer hits" pop up channel.
