Say Something Nice About Yourself

Kirby

Go ahead, brag on yourself!  Tell us a quality you admire about yourself or something that makes you proud.  There's lots of negativity and criticism in the world, so take a moment and focus on somethin? g positive - are you a loyal friend?  persistent?  Tell me something admirable about yourself.  :nodhead:

I'm me.  Thread ends.

I refuse to pander to this orgy of self-adoration....won't do it ...oh no.

While it is true that my character is an absolute treasure house overflowing with all sorts of virtues I see it as bad form to trumpet these abroad.....I mean what's the point emphasising the bleeding obvious....am I right or am I right?

Don't want to be pedantic but shouldn't that be 'emphasising'.

You're right......I'm convinced that bad spelling is somehow connected with sitting around in your pyjama bottoms.

It's a lovely morning and I keep hoping a wind will get up which would stop me cycling.........

This is Kirby's thread.  She doesn't start a ton of threads, so when she does, I will jump in and play along.

I really do hope you appreciate me replying to your question in this thread. It was extremely difficult for me as I am by nature a very modest person....seriously. Anyway it's all out in the open now and I feel the better for it. :)

  • 1 year later...

Wyatt is talking to Ed and Bat Masterson about Ed's being too affable.

Quote:

Ed: That fellow could've gone for his gun after he saw you buffalo his friend.

Wyatt: Maybe.

Ed: He was so drunk he couldn't hit the ground with his hat in three tries.
I'm just saying I believe I could've talked those guns off him.

Wyatt: If I were you,
I'd look for another line of work. Politics, maybe.

Bat: Ed's got a different style is all, Wyatt. People like it.

Wyatt: You could get killed in this line of work, Ed.
You could get people around you killed.

Bat: We're just getting started.

Wyatt: I know. When I hit that fellow, your first instinct
was to pull your weapon and cover me.
This is a harsh land, Ed. It doesn't suffer fools.

Ed: I'm not a fool, Wyatt.

Wyatt: No, you're not. But you're not a deliberate man, Ed.
I don't sense that about you. You're too affable.
