Popular Post Road Runner Posted January 6, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 6, 2017 ...from under piles of crap in my garage. Supposed to stay below freezing and get into the low teens here for the next several days. I have a detached garage and lots of stuff in there I need to keep above freezing temps. Anyway, this thing has been sitting back in a corner of my garage and unused for several years. When I got it out, I noticed it still had some old kerosene in it, no telling really, but at least three or four years old. I stuck a probe into the fill-hole and the kerosene looked and smelled normal, to me at least. Old Duracell batteries in the ignition. Fired right up. Running right now. I always heard you shouldn't use old kerosene, but as long as it burns, screw it. I win.

team scooter Posted January 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted January 6, 2017 I have an old torpedo heater and a five gallon can both filled with kerosene from over ten years ago. I stashed it in the shed after I installed the wall heater in the garage. If you need more old fuel, let me know...

Yes, but Road Runners don't give a shit. In 94 when I had my garage built (24 X 24 garage plus 20 X 20 carport), I thought my storage problems were forever over. I was wrong. That was just the beginning.

I've heard a saying that moving your belongings three times damages them as badly as a fire would. You should just use the kerosene heater to set your garage on fire and then you'd be two moves ahead.

I did watch everone act like the world was over and seems like everyone need to go shopping. I also laugh while driving into work. People were way below the speed limit, and I was the fastest one out there on the road. Granted im also wearing shorts and playing outside tonight at work. It's really making people wonder about me
