:runcirclsmiley: Yup the one in the floor...I was up before it started getting light and I noticed the increase in sound in my den..so I was walking around and looking and damn I thought I saw light..so I looked closer and yes indeed....I saw the light from the garage.....

I hope the Condo association chooses to address it!!  Like they better.

Good thing you don't live in CT.  Thousands of houses here are having a problem with "bad" concrete from the 70's.  The state is involved in trying to restore home values.  People are looking at 100k to fix 1 house.

Around here in the '80s building with decorative cement blocks was all the fad. Basically they were fancy looking cinder blocks that absorbed moisture and cracked when they got cold. They became a maintenance nightmare trying (often unsuccessfully) to keep them sealed from the elements.

Yep.  In CT it appears to have been from a single source.  One company only.  The problem is so large though that no single homeowner can afford a fix and the property values affect all.  Here is a case where socialism will come to the rescue in an otherwise capitalistic system.  We will all foot the bill somehow.  You literally have to lift the house, blow out the basement and start over with new concrete and set the house back down.

You would think that some new technology would find a niche here.  There should be tons of experience and geared up companies from Sandy.

You would think so but so far no one has stepped up.  I think when the government finally starts handing over money things might get going.
