Green Grass Posted February 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2017 That's a thought that's never crossed my mind. I guess I always thought that mayo is stuff that kind of magically showed up in a jar with a Hellman's label slapped on the side.

UglyBob Posted February 26, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 26, 2017 I hope you aren't using that as a euphemism for something else...
Dirtyhip Posted February 26, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 26, 2017 I have wanted to, but never got the guts to do it. I have made hollandaise, which is almost as good. I've made butter out of cream.
Dirtyhip Posted February 26, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2017 @Randomguy, the pancakes yesterday were a gateway food. I fell off my high horse wagon with the pancake cheat meal, then I made a loaf of crusty bread and hamburger buns. BREAD! AHHHHHH! Note: I had only tine heel of the crusty stuff, and the pancakes. The buns are for dinner next week, and some for the freezer.
Airehead Posted February 26, 2017 Share #7 Posted February 26, 2017 Yes, I have and it is very easy but you have to be patient. I use the food processor. When it says add the oil slowly, they mean drip by drop. Don't rush it. Tastes fabulous and you can season with anything you want--- dill works well.
Wilbur ★ Posted February 26, 2017 Share #8 Posted February 26, 2017 Yes, I used to make it. Don't even use it any more so I haven't the need.
Longjohn ★ Posted February 26, 2017 Share #9 Posted February 26, 2017 I watched Dr Odd make it on his show last week. I don't use it much, we buy Duke mayonnaise. It's the only one we could find that is made without soy.
