airinpie Posted April 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2017 I bought a brand new Shebeest long sleeve jersey and got grease all over it the first time I wore it. Is there any hope of getting it out? I washed it, it it didn't even touch the grease ?

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted April 8, 2017 Share #5 Posted April 8, 2017 Or some similar product. It may not get all the grease out to a brand-new condition, but if you let it absorb into the jersey for a while then run the jersey through the wash I think you've got a good chance of salvaging it.

Next time wipe your hand in the grass or on your shorts, not your New Jersey. (Auto correct capitalized that, lol)

LoneWolf Posted April 8, 2017 Share #12 Posted April 8, 2017 1. New Jersey was ruined long before you ever met it. 2. Stain pretreater is often a very good idea. You may still be able to use it.

I hope she doesn't put jerseys through the dryer, but you're right, good to ask. A lot of jerseys have line dry or hand dry only on their tags. Even when not, line drying usually increases their longevity. And (as you were probably hinting) putting one through the dryer greatly reduces getting that stain out

Page Turner Posted April 8, 2017 Share #17 Posted April 8, 2017 I dilute it about 50% with water and keep it in a spray bottle. Spray it on the stain and let it sit for a while on soak in the washer. I get grease on almost everything, and this stuff takes most of it out..........YMMV.

I wouldn't trust them, they can't even get the color right.
