Oh, and before anyone ridicules the golf course on a Navy base, guarding the east coast from the communist onslaught during the Cold War was (mostly) serious bidness. If you wanted one, you gave one of the guys a buck and then put your money in the machine. (Don't know what the arrangement was for buying one, if he wasn't there).
