Popular Post Airehead Posted May 20, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 20, 2017 Verbena was even more excited to see him today but he thought she was pushy. After a bit of cool airedale sparring, he gave her the cold shoulder and pretty much ignored her. He told me Ylva is more fun and better mannered. Run 1- He was fabulous but knocked the last bar on the triple jump at the very end. His rhythm was a bit off and it is a huge jump. His breeder came today to see him. He loved that and clearly knew her. It was cool. We all had lunch told some great "tails" and she stayed to see his afternoon run. Run 2- He was once again fabulous. I blew by jump 4 without even knowing it which meant I did not go back to fix it. (FIx is a time penalty; skip is a DQ). Tim pointed it out and told me to watch the video. I didn't even see it on the video the first time. I let my partner down but he doesn't seem too upset. He still got chicken and steak. I have video if I can figure how to post it. We went to an early dinner with a bunch of people . There were only a few shady spots so we put Dreamer in the crate next to Lindy in our Airedale Limo.. She is Tillie's mom and the breeder brought her along for old time sakes. A beautiful senior girl. She is still lovey to look at at 13 and healthy too. An interesting note at dinner. We heard someone say that people had dogs cooked in hot cars. Three vans full. Hmm, must mean us. I pulled out my phone, walked up to the table and said, "I heard your comment and would like to explain . These are skilled performance dogs. We have invested both money and time in them. They are family members. We take great precautions to keep them safe in all weather. Please do not assume every dog in a car is dying. I showed them my app which said the internal temp was 67 in the car and 68 outside the car. They were actually nice and apologetic. Asked how it worked. I took two of them out and showed them the window screens, the thermometer alarm thingie, the battery operated fans and the vent-lock thingie that keeps the car locked but the hatch open enough to circulate air. I also told them the alarm woud ring on my phone but also out loud. If they ever heard that in the parking lot they had my permission to break a window. So, no Q's today but a really nice day with great dogs and decent people .
