I majored in chemistry and physics and minored in biology so I figured I could jump right into a college textbook, which worked out fine. Thank God Amazon has used, past editions - that still cost me about $50 compared to around $200 for the new texts. They're still pulling the same crap they did when I went to college in the 60's-70's: they put out a new edition with slight changes from the old edition of the same book every couple of years so that people can't buy many used versions of the book.
