Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted July 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 20, 2017 Morning ride with Mike, Marco and Squirelly Pete. Wolf Trap and the Reston/USGS loop. 26.6 miles, 1:30, 17.6 average and 823 feet climbed. 2,610 for the year, 90 rides compared to 96 trips and 2,298 miles last year. The nice feature of today's ride was starting at 5:30, Venus was close to the waning moon as the rising sun added a tint of pink to the violet sky in the east. The drawback was the 55% humidity and 73 dew point.
Zephyr Posted July 20, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 20, 2017 Don't know yet. I rode to work this morning( 6 miles) with intention of doing some hill climbs this afternoon on the ride home. It is raining hard here right now so not sure if I'll get it in or just beat it for home in the wet
Kzoo Posted July 20, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 20, 2017 Hope to get out of the office soon and in time to get in 30 this evening - unless WoKzoo has other plans that I don't know about.
JerrySTL ★ Posted July 20, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 20, 2017 Boring 20 mile ride. Three 6.5 mile loops around Scott AFB IL plus a little extra to round it up to 20 miles. I've bet I've done well over 1000 loops of the place since I got there in 1977. It has some advantages like very smooth, flat roads with very little traffic. Plus I can get a shower at the Fitness Center before work.

Popular Post Digital_photog ★ Posted July 21, 2017 Popular Post Share #9 Posted July 21, 2017 19.99 on the mountain tandem. Mix of gravel and paved trails with 7 year old granddaughter and 4 year old grandson in the Burley trailer behind the bike. Granddaughter had her feet off the pedals a lot of the time. I had to do the work for 3 of us. @petitepedal the captain needed a fork to make the kid sit and pedal. I don't think the tandem was designed to be waving your feet in the air and standing on the seat, 11.5 mph average. When we got back she said she wasn't tired and wanted to do more.

groupw Posted July 21, 2017 Share #13 Posted July 21, 2017 6 miles on the commute and 13 miles on the casual ride. It would be a lot easier without a snorkel! That humidity was oppressive!
