Kzoo Posted July 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2017 Rain all night and now through the morning. After a few errands I think I'll work in the basement for a while. There appears to be a 3-4 hour window between rain events where I might get a ride in this afternoon. Hope you have a great day!

Square Wheels Posted July 22, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 22, 2017 As of now, nothing planned. Maybe a bike ride, we'll see. Laundry, shopping.... the usual stuff. Tomorrow I see my mom, giving her a new iPhone. Her first smart phone ever. This will not end well.

She's technologically challenged, that's why I had to get her a simpleton iPhone as compared to the really nice Galaxy 8. The problem is I don't have an iPhone, neither do my brother, sister nor their spouses. It's up to my wife and my kids to try and help her. team scooter Posted July 22, 2017 Share #12 Posted July 22, 2017 Need to be at the tire dealer at 11:30 am so my day is pretty much shot. Not enough time to mow this morning, so I'll need to do it afterwards in the hottest most humid part of the day. That is, if it doesn't rain. Harder, no, more configurable and more fun, yes. I think it would be too hard for her. 19 minutes ago, Wilbur said: Is that a typo? WoKzoo is technically challenged and she figured out her iPhone. Start with just making calls and leave all the other functions alone. After a bit work on contacts and then photos. If you want her to be in constant communication with you 24/7/365 always and forever you can then teach her how to text.
Square Wheels Posted July 22, 2017 Share #18 Posted July 22, 2017 We'll teach her how to text, email, take pics and facebook. The next time we go out we'll show her more. She shuts down when she gets overwhelmed, so we need to be careful tomorrow.

Square Wheels Posted July 22, 2017 Share #20 Posted July 22, 2017 Watch a few YouTube videos. If you mess it up, do a factory restore. Play and have fun. There are a ton of stock widgets you can put anywhere you want.

Like HAL3000, it decided on its own to connect to the new i-phone and ditch the original work flip phone, so now all my voice dials are gone.
