Problem in Mayberry

It has rained all spring and summer. The trees, bushes, and ivy are threatening to completely cover the Airwick cottage.

I need to cut down what looks like 10 years of growth. The Airwick cottage has always looked like an English cottage with gardens and the somesuch but now I can barely get into my own house. Heavy duty garden equipment has been ordered and I am off next week to tend to the grounds.

Here's my problem. My birds love the new trees and overgrowth. We have like 1000 new families and fledglings.

I can't trim or cut anything without disturbing a nest. I can't displace or upset my wrens but I must do something.   :dontknow:
