Prayers, vibes and whatever you've got for Bosox...

Your mom is reading all the sendables? I am really glad I didn't send porn, I was seriously thinking about that.

When are you out of the hospital, btw?

Last week was more of a step back, than a step forward, so I had her read Cliff and Chris C's(KT).

I think I've finally started to recover, and the doctors are saying another 10 days before getting discharged.

Wow, another 10 days! Well, your body has experienced a lot of trauma. It's probably good to be under supervision while the initial healing is going on. Though I'm sure your own bed at home sounds pretty good.

The bacon analogy was a good one; I totally understand now why you needed another surgery. However, I won't be eating bacon again any time soon!

I'm way too sick to be home now. I'm being tube fed all my nutrients and I have a GN tube draing 3-4 Literes from my stomach every day.

Iwas probably morphined-out.

Right now I'm pretty high on morphine, and watching South Park - Bigger, Badder and Uncut.

My intestin were a twisted mess, but the trauma surgeon assured me things at right now. Things will improve.

Ah, the warm glow of opiates.  Depending on the delivered drug, that can bind you up too.

Get well man.  I've been praying for ya.

Aww, look at you!  Lookin' pretty bright-eyed and with good reading material!

My husband's been in the hospital many times for surgeries (mostly spine), so I have an inkling of what it's like to be there for so long. But your case is far and above anything he/we've encountered.

You're looking a lot better than the earlier pics I've seen. Keep up the good work! (of course by that I mean resting and healing.)  :)

The issue I have in my hands has a nice article on recovering from serious accidents.

I'll probably send them a photo-thanks for the timely subject.

You sure that's not a Marvel comic book?

Make sure they take good care of you.  We need you back in a feisty mood soon.

Just a quick update. Just got home from seeing Bosox. He looks a lot better, but he still has a long way to go. He walked about 450 feet while I was there and was pretty much his old self. Still not able to eat yet, but they are hearing some bowel sounds so it may not be too much longer.

Hearing bowel sounds????  Is that the extent of the modern medical system we have today.  "The guy will be out of here soon.  Did you hear those bowel sounds!"

It's an indication that the digestive tract is alive and functioning. You would be surprised at what you can learn just by listening to the body. It's still one of the most effective, noninvasive tools in modern medicine. Basically, when he can pass gas, he can start to eat again.
