Airehead Posted August 24, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2017 Cutco knives are made in Olean, NY. They have a forever guarantee . I have two that I inherited from my grandmother. I believe she bought them on "installment" from a home salesman.

Longjohn ★ Posted August 25, 2017 Share #6 Posted August 25, 2017 You should have bought the $1,800 set. They cost less than a floor and will last longer.

Digital_photog ★ Posted August 25, 2017 Share #11 Posted August 25, 2017 Second from the right is very good. I sharpened one like it today. Sharp enough to shave. We have 2 full sets of them. I would add more to my reenacting stuff I I found them.
Longjohn ★ Posted August 25, 2017 Share #12 Posted August 25, 2017 I have a set of Cutco knives. I use the two big ones that you bought and a paring knife. It came with scissors that will cut a penny, we use those a lot too. A friend was working his way through college selling them was why I bought them. I told him if he was getting more than 50% of the sale price I'd buy a set, he said he was.
Ralphie ★ Posted August 25, 2017 Share #13 Posted August 25, 2017 We have the Cutco on the left. I really miss the small one that disappeared a year or so ago. We also just bought a couple because they are so darn expensive.

Johnny Come Lately Name Posted August 25, 2017 Share #16 Posted August 25, 2017 If there’s a restaurant supply place anywhere around check there. You can buy one or two pieces from “open stock”. I got a couple of nice Wusthöf chef’s knives from the local restaurant supply for a really good price. They were in the bargain bin because they were Emeril Lagasse branded and he’s passé now.?
