In this day and age..

..does it not seem archaic and totally daft to "give away your daughter"?  Honest to gawd, I don't get this.  They are not assets you just sign control of to some idiot.  Laws need to change and so does our stupid approach to marriage.  Terri Shiavo should have waken society up to this crap idea. Sorry, that is my rant for today.

While we're at it, we should also revise the whole wedding thing.

Do you consider the US the south, or do you mean the monosyllabic south that the US recognizes?

The south to me is West Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alafukinbama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Kansas.  Although, I don't know why it is called the South when the centre of the universe is Texas. :)

It's the new Trudeau.  You know, the spawn of the old Trudeau who had the first shot at destroying the nation.  Well, maybe.. his mother did have a thing for Castro and Justin looks a lot more like him than his "father".

It's not so much the daughter but the dowry that hurts.

Wilbur, this isn't the beautiful Wilburette that makes my homemade Christmas card for the last 2 years?

I do not want to lose that tradition. :(
