Who paid for your college?

Mostly you taxpayers. I earned two associates, one BS, and duel MA degrees while in the US Air Force. Most was 75% tuition assistance meaning that I only paid 25% out of pocket. I also used a little of my GI Bill to pay for an automotive mechanics course.

Thanks.

Wally Sarasan meant to pay for mine.  He gave 30k in trust after I rode a bike into the side of his car.  At 18, the money was mine and it went into a sailboat I lived aboard while going to school.  Dad paid for my first dismal year of partying and I had to pay the rest cooking in restaurants. :)

My dad did. His dad put him through college, so he did the same for us. He started a second business before my oldest sister started college. My brother milked him for 5 years at Michigan State. I gave him a break and went to a two year technical school.

Army College Fund (The plan after the Vietnam era and before the current GI Bill) and I worked full time graveyards.  As I was a bit of a slacker in HS I had to take a fair number of remedial math & English classes which required extra courses so I took 15 - 18 units plus summer & winter courses to finish in 4 years.

I had a family to feed so didnt have time to mess around....
