Popular Post Caretaker Posted September 7, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted September 7, 2017 My cycling friend and I booked our flights for the next 'adventure', southern Portugal and Spain for 12 days in early November. Got a good deal on the price, €70 return but unfortunately our bikes will cost €100 return if and when we decide to bring them. We have the option of renting when we arrive but that will probably be more expensive if less hassle. We're flying Aer Lingus to Faro in the Algarve (S. Portugal) and plan to go east along the coast into Spain, then north before re-entering Portugal and returning to Faro. My last tour (solo) in the Algarve was in May 2013. Some photos from that ten day tour. With my Warmshowers host on first evening a few kms. from the airport Approaching Alcoutim at the end of a long and hilly first day View across the Guadiana river into Spain from Alcoutim Portugal Western Algarve about half way Faro beach just before flight home
