sheep_herder ★ Posted September 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2017 There were many fire trucks parked in the parking lots, and several fire fighters walking along Haynes Avenue. Fires must be controlled or they are bringing in reinforcements. Hunting season has begun or will be beginning later this month, so they have to be prepared for potential fires in the forests and on the rangelands.
Scrapr ★ Posted September 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2017 a splash of rain here in Central oregon. A few thunderstorms too. Which usually means lightining up in the mountains and more fires. Haven't really heard anything about fires started so cross your fingers. The higher humidity helps slow down the fires too. The Gorge fire over by Portland is benefiting from favorable winds. Only 5% contained though.
