Johnny Come Lately Name Posted September 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2017 My diagonally-across-the-street neighbors called me over when I was mowing last night and told me they bought the property next to them (and across the street from me). It is now off the market.

Longjohn ★ Posted September 12, 2017 Share #6 Posted September 12, 2017 I was talking to a classmate at the reunion on Sunday and he was just telling me he bought the house next to him. He wanted to make sure no undesirables bought it. I asked what he was going to do with the house. He said rent it out.

For like, the first ten or fifteen years we owned the house, it was a woman and her son, upstairs. No issues, no noise. Eventually, they moved out.....and it was an endless parade of losers after that.

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted September 12, 2017 Share #17 Posted September 12, 2017 I called them and they agreed to lease me the lot so I could store my RV there, but only if I kept it to the front of the lot near the road so they wouldn't have to look at it from their house.

sheep_herder ★ Posted September 12, 2017 Share #24 Posted September 12, 2017 Congratulations!! I know the feeling, when the folks we buy hay from bought the adjoining 80 acres south of our place. There had been talk of subdividing before they purchased the property and kept it in crops. During the talks, was when my wife purchased the place south of town, for an escape route. We talked about buying it ourselves, but he was asking a ridiculous price. Apparently it meant enough to the neighbors that they paid almost what he was asking.
