Popular Post goldendesign Posted September 13, 2017 Popular Post Share #8 Posted September 13, 2017 Checking in. Thanks for the concern. We are all fine. SIL flight got delayed so this has been her last hurrah before leaving the country for home. We've tried to squeeze in some sight seeing but obviously not a lot is open right now. I spent Monday clearing my home and helping a few neighbors then yesterday was a grand mal effort in helping out a friend who was not as fortunate as me: Power out (He works for the utilities and figures at least 10 days before power in his area is restored) Sewer for that area is on a large sump/pump station also without power so no flushy Several oaks including one that was Arbor certified "100 year old" went down in his yard. One completely crushing a car of his. The silly sod didn't even have a chainsaw. So I was on cutting duty for most of the day and I brought over all the accumulated ice I made in preparation of power outage. His family will probably seek refuge at my house in a few days once pride is overcome by the smell.
