Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted September 16, 2017 Popular Post Share #2 Posted September 16, 2017 I'm on a weekend ride with the Mennonites. Just finished a 54 mile ride and I'm relaxing with a cup of black coffee.

Popular Post az_cyclist Posted September 16, 2017 Popular Post Share #4 Posted September 16, 2017 A Denny's burger and a large cup of coffee was pretty darn good about 4 am Friday morning, sitting on the side of the road. We had ridden about 120 miles, and had 80+ to go. 4

F_in Ray Of Sunshine Posted September 17, 2017 Share #8 Posted September 17, 2017 I ran 11.3 this morning. I tried to talk myself into going past the house a ways and rounding up to 12, but said “Fuck that”, First a Gatorade and now this:

Read the f’in label: Truth be told, Empire is even more local than OhMyGod. (And I’m out of homebrew).

Seems like anything after 7 or 8 becomes a slog. I did a half, fairly easily a few years ago, but I had a much longer training period to ramp up to it. Now, I’m trying to go from 10k (fairly effortless) to 15 miles, in a very short time frame and I’m really pushing the envelope. I’ve done 10 miles twice in the last few weeks and it’s seemed like the last 2 miles were a struggle, mentally, but not physically. Yesterday I only added a mile and a half to that and I’m thrashed, physically...and I have to add another 3 in the next three weeks. ?
