Digital_photog ★ Posted October 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2017 You may be interested in this book. My friend and neighbor for over 45 years Lowell Farrand. First person to fly a powered parachute. This was while he was doing research into the airfoil kites that are now the most commonly use chutes. They were first made as a kite and the aerodynamics was not understood. He was working at University of Notre Dame for the military to research how they had so much lift. Lowell has been involved in many other aviation projects. Built many experimental planes and is on inspector of experimental planes for the FAA. I have flown the Luscombe in the picture.
