Finally getting an MRI

Yeah, you don't want to go into an MRI with steel particles in your eyeballs. They will come out forcefully.

I never thought about that until I went for an MRI on my shoulder and was asked if there was any chance I may have gotten steel in my eyes at any point in my life.

The bastard technicians at mine  said take off your shoes or leave them on as you like - they'd heard the cleats clicking on the floor. I left them on and as I raised my legs onto the bed the magnets started gripping and freaked me out, they got their laughs that day, bastards.

I could have gone to sleep in there. It reminded me of sleeping in the bunk over my Detroit Deisel back in my truck driving days. I forced myself to stay awake so I didn’t move around.

Was it a two stroke Detroit? I was lulled to sleep many nights by an 8V71

I just laughed at you as well.  And yes, I am a bastard.

Keep us posted.

Glad you stayed awake. It's frustrating when people fall asleep in there and they twitch and jump. sigh... gotta redo that whole 7 minute sequence.

How many seven minute sequences are there for a shoulder MRI? I was in there over twenty minutes.

Actually that's average for an MRI. Have you heard anything yet? Don't let them forget about you.

I have a follow up next Wednesday with the shoulder specialist. The pain seems to be getting worse all the time so hopefully he can fix it.

Next Wednesday?? Ugh. Get a copy of the MRI report. Don't wait that long.

Sorry, I'm not patient with stuff like this.

Well, if the sound doesn't put you out, the fumes will.

There were several of us former drivers worked at the shop I retired from. I’ve heard the comment many times when someone comes in the break room: “I should have known you guys were in here talking, I could smell the diesel smoke as soon as I opened the door’”
