sheep_herder ★ Posted October 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2017 The barn kitten jumped on top of the wooden fence in the barn yesterday and essentially demanded to be petted and rubbed. It was not a fluke, as he came back a second time when I went into the barn later in the day. We are making progress!!

We simply started feeding him, in hope we might someday be able to touch him. This action came after he came close to smell our bare hands, then touching one of his front feet, and his jumping upon the barrel where the food is kept and onto the fence to be petted. Once he decided we were OK, the rest came pretty quickly.

donkpow Posted October 5, 2017 Share #9 Posted October 5, 2017 If it is a female, the feeding ritual can turn into a multi-generational welfare program.
