Popular Post Digital_photog ★ Posted October 8, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted October 8, 2017 It's not a grill. It is a forge. A replica of the forge pvt. John Shields, the blacksmith on the Lewis and Clark Expedition of Discovery used during the 1804 to 1806 expedition. It was used for needed repairs on the trip and also to make items to trade with the Indians. This replica is made from drawings from the original and also from photos from the 2006 bicentennial reenactment in Bismark, ND. This one was fired for the first time today and will be used in 2 weeks at the Gathering at Five Medals reenactment. Since these pictures were taken it has had some flat black paint and soot added to the outside to make it look more correct. Are any of you going to come see me at Five Medals? If you fly in to the Goshen Airport we are an easy 2 mile bike ride from the airport.

Digital_photog ★ Posted October 8, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted October 8, 2017 @Wilbur if you want to come Goshen Airport has a large field where you can land the Dirigible. I'm pretty sure it will be plenty of room for you. The Goodyear blimp comes in here regularly.
Further Posted October 8, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 8, 2017 You never did explain how a bellows works. I'm pretty sure it doesn't suck in fire and blow it back out.

Actually I often fire with charcoal. Yesterday I used mostly charcoal but mixed a little coal in so it would burn slower.
