jsharr ★ Posted October 11, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2017 That is Theodore Roosevelt on the right (viewers left) and James Stewart on the left. They are flying a D West Aviation Model 13C affectionately known as the AirSow. They were planning to drop bombs on the house of Lionel Barrymore in revenge for the way he treated George. UglyBob Posted October 11, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 11, 2017 I believe the guy on the right is Ron Howard (during his Richie Cunningham years), the other guy guy is Al (from the diner). They are providing the aerial coverage for the live TV broadcast when Fonzie jumped the shark.
TrentonMakes Posted October 11, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 11, 2017 On this day in history Theodore Roosevelt became the first former president to fly in an airplane. 1910, if I remember correctly. This fun fact was noted in the Trenton Times this morning.

Rattlecan ★ Posted October 11, 2017 Share #10 Posted October 11, 2017 It's Wilbur's first time in the left seat and a flight instructor long ago resigned to the knowledge he would not live to an old age.
