Pet Peeve - Someone takes credit

I hate it when someone takes credit for something they didn't do.  

The kid here who supports PC's and laptops sent the boss an email to buy a new laptop battery for one of the sales guys.  I heard him and told him there's a battery in the server room that may or may not work.  So, he called the boss and told him, "I found one in the server room that might work.  Hold off buying that one." 

Wait, wut? 

After we determined it was the wrong battery, he emailed the boss back, " The spare I found in the server room turned out to be junk. "

I hate that too but you should not moan about it here, or at least email the boss the link to this thread. You deserve your day in the sun.

I spread the credit equally.  When I have a slightly rougher than normal landing, I always give the FO credit.
