UglyBob Posted October 18, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 18, 2017 Welcome to the club! I had the same thing taken care of on my left shoulder-tear and spurs. I've been putting off having the right done, but I think it's going to have to happen after the first of the year.

Road Runner Posted October 18, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2017 I think Dr Road Runner already gave you this prognosis in a previous thread. BTW, I've had two torn rotator cuffs. Surgery on my left is imminent.
ChrisL Posted October 18, 2017 Share #8 Posted October 18, 2017 Sorry to hear but hopefully it will address the pain. I'm dealing with bone spurs in my right ankle. Quitting softball has helped but I'm in some level of discomfort daily. I'm thinking I should get it checked out. My Dr already told me that at some point I'd need to have it surgically removed.

I have postponed mine until all my fall projects are over. Once you have the surgery, you will be out of commission for a good while. Just mentioning this to you in case you have something you might want to do before surgery. Not typically a problem to put off rotator cuff surgery for a short time.

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted October 18, 2017 Share #33 Posted October 18, 2017 I once saw something similar to this on a BBC documentary on health care. The doctor told the patient "There nothing wrong with you that an expensive operation can't prolong." Good luck!
