sheep_herder Posted October 19, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2017 Our dogs do not chase the squirrels that frequent our yard, however, Smokey is a different matter. He was feasting on a young squirrel, about his size in the barn today. I knew he was hunting, but that one surprised me.

I had a cat called 'stino once, his 1st outdoors kill was also a self sized squirrel when he was at 6 months old - he'd previously killed a mouse brought into the van live by the bigger cats. I also saw him many times descending trees both headfirst and asswards, but I'v read that only Norwegian forest cats can do this. No1 told him I guess.
