Razors Edge ★ Posted October 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 25, 2017 So, it is the relative end of the cycling season with shorter days and fewer opportunities for rides. After last night's ride, my fitness is at its peak for the year. Clearly, as I slow down for late Fall and Winter, my fitness on the bike will wan, so I am hesitant to bump up my FTP number I use, but at the same time, this seems like the right thing to do. How often do you or what makes you change your FTP value in your training tools? Especially knowing that value will be reduced in the not too distant future and that fewer rides will mean less meaning to any info you are tracking anyway. I'm likely to soon enter a "maintain" as much as possible fitness mode, and will be dialing back my efforts. Seems like I ought to just leave my old FTP in there and not pay much attention to any of the info until next Spring. Tom
