I only go there once or twice per week, but they are very good at remembering their customers' preferences. I was behind a couple young women, guessing mid to late 20s. As the barista was handing them their drinks, she saw me and asked if I wanted a Mexican mocha. I said sure, but make it a small. Not only did she, but the 2 women in front of me both looked back in surprise! I didn't even know the 2 in line. I just said the truth. This time of year, my body seems to go into "get ready to hibernate mode" and I really have to watch what I take in or the weight just piles on. It was like they never heard those words come out of a man's mouth. I get similar reactions when I ask for a smaller dinner if the size is an option. Portion control. Also, a short if you are really wanting just a splash. I think you wanted a "tall". Could have gone tall skinny if you were worried about the calories. I can’t understand why anyone would order more than that unless they were going to share the order.
