Further Posted November 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2017 The roof has a layer of 2 of old shingles, is starting to get holes all the way through, holes that you can see stars through. I was thinking just nail down some tin. Tin is not that common, or cheap, these days. I'm considering Ondura https://ondura.com/corrugated-metal-roof.shtml Anybody put on a cheap roof lately? Suggestions ?

Scrapr ★ Posted November 20, 2017 Share #4 Posted November 20, 2017 the traditional trailer park way is Blue tarp brand roofing BITD it was roll roofing. Do they even make that anymore? Just checked. Perfect for sheds, porches & carports https://www.homedepot.com/p/36-in-x-33-ft-4-in-Black-Mineral-Surface-Roll-Roofing-4305036/204767783
Longjohn ★ Posted November 20, 2017 Share #5 Posted November 20, 2017 Ondura roofing is crap. I didn’t even think they still made it. There was a big push to use that a number of years ago. All the farmers put it on their barns and sheds and it didn’t hold up at all. They all replaced it with steel. We have two places in my area that sell metal roofing at good prices. If you buy at the wrong place it’s costly. I have metal on my house and garage and woodshed.
Parr8hed Posted November 20, 2017 Share #6 Posted November 20, 2017 I put some steel on a chicken coop that I built 2 years ago. Fairly cheap and somewhat easy. But it was just one flat roof at an angle. No ridge or valleys to flash. That's where I'd run into trouble if it were me. I am sure that it is not sorted out too hard, but it would take some time.
