Popular Post bikeman564™ Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 26, 2017 Took the CAADX out for 21 miles. Hit some trails, where it performed very well. Great bike IMO. 7
Popular Post Ralphie ★ Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #2 Posted November 26, 2017 22.5, some of the most glorious miles I have ridden! A Perfect Day, except for a tad of wind, but even that added to the York Peppermint Patty effect of 50-ish and sunny riding. I had a great time ambling along and stopping in the sun for pics. I sort of toured a couple of McMansion neighbourhoods which was nice. I preferred the older one with lots of land to the newer ones with more ornate houses but much smaller lots. I'll post some of the pics in the November pics thread. Filled up the darn iphone, time to clean it out! The lack of traffic was awesome!
Popular Post 2Far ★ Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #3 Posted November 26, 2017 Gym. 10 minutes on the drainor warm-up, twice around the machines, once around the PTs, 240 machine crunches. Felt meh, dunno. Slept well, ate a little brekkies, ate decent yesterday. Felt like ringing the bell.
Popular Post smudge ★ Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #4 Posted November 26, 2017 First ride on the Days River Trail since the accident in July. Daughter and I walked the first loop the other day, and I decided to forego the Roubaix ride and get back on the trail. I only did the first into the second loop with a final full lap of the first loop (I avoided the killer third loop ). It was great! Felt good. Trail was easy, but I didn't feel like a total noob. Knee/leg felt good. Ya, I wanted to go more; but I know my conditioning isn't great, and I have PT tomorrow morning. Damn . I still celebrated with pizza and beer post ride. 7

Popular Post shotgun Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #7 Posted November 26, 2017 It was too cold and windy to ride a bike today, so I rode all three of mine. 2 + 14.5 + 2.5 4
ChrisL Posted November 26, 2017 Share #8 Posted November 26, 2017 27 with the Mrs today. Chilly (for us) in the mid 50's so i had my trusty Smartwool skull cap, knee warmers and vest over my LS jersey. Legs were still a little tired from Fridays mtn bike ride so I took it easy today.

Further Posted November 26, 2017 Share #10 Posted November 26, 2017 5 miles tromping around in the woods. Took a trail down a power line that was badly over grown with all manner of thorny, stickery brush, slowed me down and wasn't fun. Sometimes the hard way sucks.
Popular Post Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted November 26, 2017 Popular Post Share #11 Posted November 26, 2017 First ride in a long time. 17.3 miles, 1:06. 50ish and windy. It seemed like I was the only one in shorts and no jacket. I did wear a wicked good base layer made by Craft with a wind block membrane under my cycling jersey but it seemed like everyone else was dressed for temps in the 40's. I stole some taars off of my son's bike in Ohio and mounted them on the AWOL. He wasn't riding his bike anyway. I replaced the stock Specialized Ground Control taars (29 x 1.9"/48 cm) with Continental Cyclocross taars (700x35). Wow what a difference in rolling rubber. New taars are pictured below.

I was in tights, a thin long sleeved base layer, a regular jersey, my wind vest, and my lightest full finger gloves. It is a hard temp for me to dress for - nice in the sun, cold in the shade, so I erred on warmer. No toe covers yet or ear protection, but that is coming. 22 miles @ 17.3mph. I remember the Specialized Turbo tires that came with my original Roubaix. Naively, I kept them on instead of immediately swapping them out. Research and then lots of riding got me through Gatorskins (overkill), Michelins Pros (pretty nice), and now Conti GP4000s (great - all versions of them - regular, S, & II). JerrySTL ★ Posted November 27, 2017 Share #13 Posted November 27, 2017 24.2 miles at 15.1 mph avg. Too nice of weather to not ride today. Light long sleeved jersey and bib shorts. Unfortunately I had a lot of chores to do first.
groupw Posted November 27, 2017 Share #14 Posted November 27, 2017 Rode the MTB for 22.5@12.4 on gravel. Near 60 with a light wind. Shorts and jersey with a light base layer under the jersey. Saw fewer than 10 vehicles the whole ride!
