The dreaded New Years Resolution

I want to get to 190 pounds and maintain. That’s about 30 pounds.

Also want to take two Mountain climbing weekend trips.

I have the same goal.  We are doing another weight loss challenge after the new year and my goal for this one is 190.  It's 18 lbs for me at my current weight but would be a 46 lb total loss.

I actually just want to hit that number, if I can maintain around 200 that would be fine with me.

I don't make new years resolutions but do set goals for myself. They arent necessarily tied to the new year tho.

I want to bike more... @JerrySTL when is the Katy ride? I was thinking about doing it in the fall..but so far no companions.

It actual riding usually starts the Monday after Father's Day which this year would be June 18th although most people show up the day before on Sunday. Hopefully my new job will allow me to go on it in 2018.

There are companies that also put on Katy Trail rides in the Fall but they are rather expensive as they stay at hotels or B&Bs. Eventually they should be listed here:

Since 2018 should, at some point, be the first time in the 2000's I don't have physical problems with any of my joints, my goal is to be more physically active and approach being truly "fit."

I want to get back to the 231 lbs I achieved in 2014, dropping from 307 lbs in 2 years, then porking back up to the 260's-270's now after hip then shoulder-enforced sedentary living that's hopefully about to end (I can begin cycling in April, shoulder should be totally healed sometime during 2018)

I also want to raise my chess rating from the 1800's (Class A) to over 2000 (Expert).  A tough challenge in the year I'll turn 68.

I'm vacationing with the same group I did August's Caribbean Cruise with and we are spending June 30 - July 6, 2018 at "Deep Creek Lake" in Western Maryland, renting a huge log home (pictures below) and doing a lot of outdoorsy stuff (boating, fishing, biking, horseback riding, etc.). I want to be in shape to enjoy it actively every day. Horseback riding requires no more weight than 250 lbs, meaning a 15-20 lb drop by the end of June, so there's one sub-goal.

If I can enjoy all the stuff below, I'll consider it an excellent year:

We're doing the summer stuff:
