Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted January 20, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 20, 2018 She must have taken them from the front window, I found them on Facebook. I thought you might want to see what I look like with clothes on. Trying to get the pile moved so Natalie can bring another load.

Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted January 20, 2018 Author Popular Post Share #3 Posted January 20, 2018 I’ve had an average of twenty birds at a time feeding at my feeders and on my porch since we have this snow cover. I’m on my second 50# bag of black oil sunflower seed this year. I think the birds work together, the ones up on the feeders knock seed off for the ones feeding underneath. The doves never land on the feeders, they wait patiently below for someone to throw seed down to them. While I was moving wood there was a beautiful Downy Woodpecker pecking on my telephone pole. I spoke to it and told it there was a peckerblock on the porch. When I came inside and looked out he had found it. 5
JerrySTL ★ Posted January 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted January 21, 2018 We have both a Downy Woodpecker and a Hairy Woodpecker who visit our feeder. For a long time I thought that they were the same, but just one was smaller than the other. Nope. They just look very similar.

We have red breasted nuthatches on our suet blocks a lot. The bird app identified them for me, it said they are rare (not on my feeders). I have become my dad, he always fed the birds and gardened and fished. 1
