Ralphie ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 15, 2018 This is quick, easy, and tasty, but salty and smelly! Really hits the spot though. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1013418-sauteed-baby-bok-choy

Ralphie ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted February 15, 2018 I should have gotten some of those stir-fry sauces from Trader Joe's when I was there this weekend. Even low sodium say sauce is way too salty!
petitepedal ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 15, 2018 Just use a little less...and DON'T add other salt.... I have steamed baby Bok choy before..but I give it a shot..aware of the salty issue...
Ralphie ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted February 15, 2018 Yeah, a guestimated () "tablespoon" was a little much! The best part was the little chunks of browned garlic and ginger saturated in soy sauce.
Longjohn ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Share #6 Posted February 15, 2018 The secret to the salt is to do something to sweat it out. That could mean running a couple mile or maybe just mixing in some Screaming Sphincter Garlic Pepper Hot Sauce. What ever it takes.

The hot sauce sounds way more enjoyable and less evil than the running.

Longjohn ★ Posted February 15, 2018 Share #9 Posted February 15, 2018 The Screaming Sphincter Garlic Pepper hot sauce is something I bought at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati while I was there with Old #7 the night before GOBA. It was really good, a good garlic taste and lots of heat. I bought it mostly for the name and the picture on the label. They had tons of stuff I wanted to buy but whatever I bought was going to sit in a black car in the sun for seven days before I could bring it home so that ruled out most of their stuff. I have never suffered the afterburn on hot sauce either. I think I digest all the heat.
Prophet Zacharia Posted February 15, 2018 Share #10 Posted February 15, 2018 I had Thai for dinner. The squid salad at a 9/10 was fairly spicy, but the curry rack lamb at a 9/10 heat left a lot to be desired, heat wise. Flavor was otherwise very good.
