Parr8hed Posted February 23, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 23, 2018 My cocktail for a scratchy throat. 25 mg benadryl at bedtime. 10 mg zytrec at bedtime. Stayhist if nasal or head congestion, mucinex DM if chest congestion. Large glass of water before bed. Settle down with 2 fingers of bourbon neat. Sleep. Sounds better than what I try: getting my fingers down my throat to scratch it nearly allus results in making myself gip. 1

BuffJim Posted February 23, 2018 Share #10 Posted February 23, 2018 I got those symptoms Jan 19. Still dealing with them. On a round of Prednisone to try to get my lungs back to normal. The steroids is why I've been so edgy lately.

We can get together on that, as I think we're closer in this respect than either of us are to the Americans. For instance, Brits would never refer to a scratchy throat, we'd say, an itchy throat.
