Best Beer Name?

Successfully drawing a mental lapse - which is a good thing. Can't remember the name, but couple months ago bought some beer because of the name and label graphic. That was the worst tasting swill infused with a hint of grapefruit that I have ever tasted - and no hint of it being a fruity beer on the label. Wish I could remember it to warn others when in the mood to experiment with something new.

Up until the last few years I would have really appreciated the warning. I like to try different beers but Pennsylvania had such strange laws, you had to buy a full case or keg at a distributor. I hated when I would buy a $40+ case of beer and didn’t like it. They changed all that, now we can buy singles, four packs or whatever. They even sell beer in gas stations and grocery stores.

Glad to hear PA is moving to the 21st century. When leading a day long seminar, went out to get some beer to bring back to my room. Was shocked.

Will have to go to Publix today to see if they still stock it, or a one time buy. Ironically, they do offer singles, but I don't think of that option when shopping.

A store near me specializes in single bottle sales. Great selection and the lady that manages the beer & wine sales makes sure the inventory moves. Have never gotten a stale or skunked bottle there.

How does she move the beer that is getting close dated? I always loved the discount section where sometimes $4 beers were marked down to one or two dollars. They don’t seem to do that anymore around here. I asked about a brand of craft brew that I used to buy and they said they don’t carry it anymore because it didn’t sell and they had to throw too much of it away. :o

She puts together 'packs' of stuff that isn't selling and marks them down.
