Ralphie ★ Posted March 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2018 Even google site search couldn;t find where you mentioned possibly using Elastic, SW! I googled it but it is over my head. Now I am curious why even google site search doesn;t seem to work all that well here. It ain't easy being a dredger!
Square Wheels Posted March 7, 2018 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2018 No idea, sorry. This site runs off of a MySQL database, there are a lot of limitations as to what the software developers can build in to the system for search. Elastic is something I would need to install on the server and configure. I am not convinced the server we are running on would be able to handle it and I don't have the funds for another server. When the next release comes in, in a few months, I'll install it and look into Elastic at that time, until then, all we have is what we have, sorry. pedalphile Posted March 22, 2018 Share #4 Posted March 22, 2018 I only expected this to be a parody thread, or I wouldn't have opened it; now I'm disappointed.
