Longjohn ★ Posted March 22, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2018 I have been watching it for about twenty minutes waiting for it to turn around so I could get a better look at it. My wife just sent me a text and when I looked down at my phone it flew away.

Longjohn ★ Posted March 22, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted March 22, 2018 It looks like a white chicken but I have never seen white chickens in my yard and never saw one fly up that high. I thought about putting on some shoes and going outside to try to sneak up on it. I looked down at my phone for a couple seconds and when I looked back up it was gone. ChrisL Posted March 22, 2018 Share #4 Posted March 22, 2018 I'm not a bird expert but have hunted grouse and they are built like small chickens. I've never seen an all white one, I think white or snow grouse have black in them.

JerrySTL ★ Posted March 23, 2018 Share #7 Posted March 23, 2018 If there were any coconuts on the ground, I'd guess an African swallow.
Parr8hed Posted March 23, 2018 Share #8 Posted March 23, 2018 Chickens can get up that high, well some of them. My Buff Orphington probably could not, she was fat. But my Golden Laced Wyandottes certainly could. But they were not white. I didn't have ANY white chickens. Does that make me a racists?

A place I used to ride through has a sign about dismounting due to ducks in river. Lovely place and lovely sign, roughly handpainted on a scrap of olde ply.
