Popular Post Zephyr Posted April 8, 2018 Popular Post Share #6 Posted April 8, 2018 I remember being upstairs one time and hearing a crash. We (wife and I) walked down stairs to find all 3 kids sitting on the couch and the lamp that sat on the table directly behind the couch on the floor in pieces. WofZ asked what happened and all of them said they never touched it. Nat looked at me, as the trained interviewer to get to the bottom of it. Our kids don't normally lie to us. After a couple preliminary questions to get them talking, I asked "What were you doing right before the lamp broke?" Turns out they were doing synchronized coffee table jumping and all three of them ran across the room, at the same time leaped over the coffee table and turned in mid air to all landed seated on the couch. It was at that point that the lamp, on the table directly behind the couch, somehow fell over even though none of them actually touched it. 4 3
Tizeye Posted April 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted April 8, 2018 Jumping, no. But last month sat at it like a low table as I programed the TV remotes - actually a Tivo remote deleting all the channels on the guide that was not interested in. Getting back up was an issue as my knee was hurting before I sat on the floor.
Kzoo Posted April 8, 2018 Share #8 Posted April 8, 2018 Sure I can jump it. I'm also just intelligent enough not to do it.

They are SOMETIMES stupid and a waste of space, but sometimes entirely necessary. Put a pillow on a coffee table and you have a spot for your legs. TrentonMakes Posted April 9, 2018 Share #19 Posted April 9, 2018 Our coffee table is a hand-me-down from one of my wife's friends... there are three glass panels set into the top. We've probably had it for 8 years and I'm somewhat amazed that all the glass is still intact.
Kzoo Posted April 9, 2018 Share #20 Posted April 9, 2018 In the TV room we have a matching ottoman. It is about the size of some coffee tables. WoKzoo has an antique box sitting on top so we can use it to set drinks and food.

Longjohn ★ Posted April 9, 2018 Share #22 Posted April 9, 2018 A friend of mine was dating some classy society girl years ago. He put his feet up on their marble coffee table and it broke in two. That was their last date.
