Popular Post Parr8hed Posted April 15, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted April 15, 2018 G raced in Indy yesterday. Course was closed, in a state park. He got lucky and caught some dry weather. It was a lot warmer than what he was used to racing in. He hung with the pack (all juniors from 9-16) for about 3 laps. (This is about 2.5 laps longer than normal). He and another rider got spit out the back of the pack. They worked together to stay close to the pack but G was doing more of the work than I would have liked. They pulled through with about 4 laps to go and the kid attached G. He quickly caught onto the kid’s wheel. Then the kid sat up and grabbed his leg (cramp?). G recognized this and immediately countered. Dropping the kid instantly. G rode the last 4 solo pushing the whole way. We thought G was the only one from our team in the 13-14 AG but George showed up at the last min. Even though George is 11, he raced 13-14 because no one else was registered in the 11-12. George finished slightly ahead of G. He managed to stay in the pack longer but he got spit out as well and had to finish solo like Griffin. Griffin managed a 7th overall in the juniors and a second place in the 13-14 AG. It was the best racing I’ve seen him do yet. 8
JerrySTL ★ Posted April 15, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2018 Are you going to take him to Junior Nationals any time soon? My daughter really enjoyed doing it.

donkpow Posted April 16, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 16, 2018 There's no "I" in "TLJC". (Well, technically there are two in Louisville, one in Junior, and one in Cycling. But not one in Team.)
