Popular Post JerrySTL ★ Posted April 21, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted April 21, 2018 I bought a 1954 girl's JC Higgens bicycle today for $200. I'm not sure if it's a Color Flow or Jet Flow model. It's been repainted - badly - but pretty much original other wise. Missing a few minor parts. WoJSTL and I were both born in 1954 so we know this bike is a real antique. 8

JerrySTL ★ Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted April 21, 2018 I need to rotate that front fender somewhat. The bearings are pretty dry and rough on the front wheel so I'm going to assume that all the bearing need some TLC. The tires are Kenda's and look pretty new. Pedals have reflectors so I don't think they are original. I'm not sure that the seat is original but nice. The stem also doesn't seem to be correct. It will be a fun project. The seller said that the woman who owned it had it from new but she died a few months ago and they found it in a shed when cleaning out her home. I see it still has all it’s parts. Not sure if we can say the same about you. (Don’t they usually take the “tank” off, for kitschy wall decor?)
