Just got up, thinking aboot either reading in the Mooseworth Cafe or weeding or washing the cars since they are on the shadier side of the house in the morning.  Hmm, if rain might come, weeding then walking Ruby then reading seems apropos.  Just let Ruby oot - man, it is hot already!

Duke and I went outside for a bit.  I drank one cup of coffee and ate one piece of toast, as I read the Billings Gazette on line. Now contemplating drinking another cup of coffee as the we cool the house with the whole house fan.  They are forecasting a high of 91-93F today.

loaded the dishwasher and washed a few things from last nights gathering..had my tea and made another egg sammich (home made egg mcmuffin)..used a different cheese..yummy..need to get better on the assembly process but not bad...especially on a weekend when one has more time.

Now...I gotta get dressed and get to Afton...Ian and I are gonna ride before it is...too hot...

After the ride...the sky is the limit...buy some flowers for the deck..plant them...a nap...groceries and or laundry....

Cleaning blood.  I have to work Monday so we didn't go camping this weekend.  Besides it's stupid busy at all campgrounds this weekend.  So I picked up today as well.  All overtime.  They are paying me a stupid bonus for working today.

Sitting in the gazebo for a few minutes after a busy morning. Finished planting the garden, fixed a bunch of fence, went to the grocery and drug stores and gave Piper a bath.

We had a big picnic with my youngest son and his family. We grilled hot dogs and kielbasa, corn on the cob (requested by the six year old granddaughter) Mac and cheese, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries. The one year old twin dudes kept trying to get in the pool so after lunch everyone got their bathing suits on and went for a swim. Mom and dad took the three little ones home to nap and we still have the three bigger granddaughters. We will take them home later. Little red is dressed and watching veggie tails with nana. The other two have been in the pool for a couple hours, I just heard them move to the hot tub.

Of and on showers, today.  Didn't take Claratin Friday and awoke 1 am this morning with a sinus headache. Took Claratin and generic Aleve and it was gone by 5 or 6 am but left me lethargic all day.  Pool party tomorrow and steamed crabs! An extended family member, my brother's wife's brother's daughter, is graduating from high school.

I won a game for Team USA vs Team Poland today after sacrificing two pawns to get a passed pawn my opponent, Lucasz Michno, couldn't stop from Queening.

I learned this morning from the Google translator that "dzięki za grę" is Polish, my maternal ancestor's language, for "Thanks for the game."

I'm undefeated in my last 9 games, with 7 wins and 2 draws, and my rating has gone from 1748 to 1817. 1800 and above is Class A!

I'm enjoying it while it lasts, because the higher rating means tougher assignments: I'm playing 1900+ rated Stan Perkins in two games on board #2 in the Team Maryland vs Team Mississippi match.

After we took the big girls home they wanted us to watch them ride. I showed the one granddaughter how to fix her bike computer when the wheel magnet gets bumped out of alignment

Great pics LongJohn...what fun...Our excitement on the ride today was...at the last stop where I waited for Ian...there was a young man in an patriotic USA kit...he mentioned he had done 60 miles...waiting for his coach to pick him up...I told him I was waiting for Ian vision impaired and 71...Anyway Ian showed and we chatted maybe 3 or 4 comments before his ride shows...this kid is a Jr Racer...did Paris Roubaix this pas spring with the Jr's.....  That was cool.....
